Emma Carey sharing her Canada Games experience

Nov. 08, 2022

Learn from Emma and her experience at the multi sport games in 2023, the Canada Winter Games. Hopefully you get inspired to sign up for the Team NT trials from December 7-11, 2022. Deadline to register is November 7, 2022.

"Competing in the games was definitely a game changer, and it doesn't compare to anything I've done before. Going into tryouts I was 11 years old and very nervous as I was going against girls who were as old as 19. After trying my hardest I was named as a roster player going to the Canada Winter Games in Red Deer!

The experience I received and took away from those games was unbelievable. I worked very hard and was very thankful for the opportunity. Not only was the experience I received a gift, the friendships that I created are ones that will last me forever. I was the youngest on the team, but I felt included and apart of the group every step of the way. I created special friendships with all the other girls, and they helped mentor me throughout/and leading up to the games.

It is a high level competition that can be very difficult but also comes with so many benefits. Participating in the Games meant a lot to me, it allowed me to represent my home town and it is something that I will never forget and be forever grateful for."

We hope that you want to create those memories as well, build those friendships, work hard and have fun. In order to sign up check out Sport North's website: https://www.sportnorth.com/games/arctic-winter-games-2023
